l0fi.com and MEMORY SCREEN are run by Goodbye Productions LLC ("goodbye productions"). This page explains what information goodbye productions receives, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: goodbye@l0fi.com.
The short version
- This site sets no cookies and runs no ads or tracking.
- When you buy MEMORY SCREEN, goodbye productions receives your e-mail address and your order's details, to send your license key and to help you later.
- If you join the mailing list, your e-mail address is kept so you can receive occasional e-mails regarding updates. You can leave at any time.
- Your information is never sold or rented to anyone.

The site is served by a hosting and security provider. Like any website, delivering a page involves technical details such as your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for; the provider processes these to deliver the site, to protect it from abuse, and to count visits for goodbye productions without identifying anyone.
The site itself sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking tools.
Buying MEMORY SCREEN
Purchases are handled by a payment provider that acts as the merchant of record. It takes your payment, works out and collects any sales tax or VAT, and sends receipts, under its own privacy policy, which is shown at checkout. goodbye productions never sees or stores your card details.
From each order, goodbye productions receives and keeps:
- your e-mail address;
- the order number, the amount, the currency and the date;
- the serial number of the license key your order received;
- your answer to the mailing list question at checkout.
This is used to deliver your key (on the thank-you page and by e-mail), to answer your questions, to find your key again if you lose it, and to keep the business records the law requires. Your key e-mail is sent through an e-mail delivery provider.
The mailing list
Joining is optional: sign up here on the site, or answer yes to the mailing list question at checkout. Your e-mail address is then kept by a mailing list provider, which sends the e-mails. Sign up on the site and you'll be asked to confirm before anything is sent; answer yes at checkout and you're added straight away. Every e-mail has a link to unsubscribe. The provider may record whether an e-mail was opened or a link was clicked, to report on delivery.
Writing in
If you write to goodbye@l0fi.com, your message is passed on by the hosting provider and kept, with your address, by the e-mail service that hosts the inbox, for as long as it takes to help you. Replies are sent through the e-mail delivery provider that sends the key e-mails.
MEMORY SCREEN itself
MEMORY SCREEN keeps your settings, your kept sounds and your license key on your own computer.
How long information is kept
- Order records: for as long as your license may need support, and for as long as tax and business record laws require.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.
- Messages: for as long as it takes to help you.
Who else receives your information
Only the service providers described above, each to do the job described; anyone the law requires it to be given to; and, if the business ever changes hands, its new owner, who would be bound by this policy. Your information is never sold, rented or shared for advertising.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information goodbye productions holds about you by writing to goodbye@l0fi.com. Some order records have to be kept for legal reasons, but they are used for nothing else.
If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or a US state with a privacy law such as California, you have these rights by law, and you can also object to how your information is used or complain to your local data protection authority. Where those laws ask for a reason: orders are handled to fulfil your purchase, the mailing list runs on your consent, site security and support rely on legitimate interests, and records are kept to meet legal obligations.
Where information is processed
The service providers above may process information in the United States and in other countries, under the safeguards they provide for international transfers.
Children
l0fi.com and MEMORY SCREEN aren't directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where the law sets that age), and goodbye productions doesn't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
